Can anyone ID this engine AND the car it was intended for? No cheating....

Gotta be German.

I have no idea, but will it fit in my Odyssey?

Hmmm, W-12 design. I would guess its a boat engine.

Maybe in the cabin.

Concur. Has the German-trademark “hopelessly complex” look to it.

Probably Japanese, they used belts instead of chains, probably Nissan for some luxury sedan.

Is that a Nissan engine?

Hmm. W-9. Gotta be Japanese, right? Toyota wouldn’t have tried this, would they?
I remember Bugatti making a W18 out of three VR6's.

This came up when, 3 years ago?
Does this confirm half life?

Dunno, but needs more camshafts.

The valve covers made me think that for some reason.

I guess I need to grow a beard and get a hipster wool hat. So I can wear it when it’s 100 degrees outside.

We are wrong, but not by much. The company that makes it has a penchant for German designs.

I’m not sure which one is the bigger idiot. The guy who decided to run six camshafts with a single timing belt or the guy who decided that this engine will not be produced.

That’s badass as shit. I’ve said it before, but I wish more car companies had infinite supplies of money to throw at crazy awesome projects like this.
